My Investing Journey

It all started back in high school, when my interest in real estate was peaked as I watched my mom buy her first home to live in. That property just so happened to be a fixer upper. My brother and I slowly started helping her fix it up, and from there I was hooked on the idea of flipping houses for a living!

As soon as I graduated high school, I began working in the real estate industry. My first couple years out of school were spent working with a real estate agent, learning the basics of sales, contracts, and marketing. Then I got into the investing side, where I spent a year and a half wholesaling over 40 properties in Los Angeles.

Once I had some solid deal experience under my belt and a good chunk of savings from all my wholesale deals, I decided it was time to start my own investment company! Because I lived in the highly expensive and oversaturated market of Los Angeles, I started looking for out of state markets with a lower barrier to entry.

And from there, my out of state flipping business was born! I chose to invest in New Orleans because my dad lived in that market, so it was easy for me to visit, and I had someone to show me around and give me some basic knowledge of the area. At age 21, I bought my first fixer upper in New Orleans and I haven't stopped buying since!
